Director Biography – Charissa Kroeger, Eric Schloesser (SMOKESTACK LIGHTNING)

A multifaceted dancer, choreographer and director, Charissa Kroeger morphs seamlessly between diverse mediums. Her work as both a performing artist and creative has included collaborations with Netflix, Chanel, Sia, Anderson Paak, Dua Lipa, San Francisco Opera, Glamour Magazine, Paul Thomas Anderson and Ryan Murphy. Charissa is a Southern California native, who received her B.A. in dance from Loyola Marymount University and furthered her training at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance under Bobbi Jene Smith. Charissa has been a part of numerous creative teams, operating alongside prolific artists such as Ryan Heffington and Tony Testa. Internationally she has toured with the Grammy winning artist Lorde and in Daniel Ezralow’s company, Ezralow Dance. In 2020 Charissa’s choreography premiered at SXSW festival— in a film entitled ‘AVIVA.’
“Smokestack Lightning” is her directorial debut.
