out of control, 16min., Switzerland
Directed by bellopropello
Machines and robots take care of almost all human activities. The world is automated, and meaningful individual employment isn’t possible anymore. A workforce simply is no longer needed – except for some monitoring activities – and humans are doomed to carry out completely insignificant, absurd and repetitive work. The monotony of everyday life blends with suppressed desires resulting in a conflicting existence between reality and fiction.

STILL PUSHING: A SKATEBOARDERS PUSH THROUGH TIME, 17min., USA
Directed by Stan Nalewski
Still Pushing is a nostalgic skateboarding documentary that takes viewers on a thrilling ride through the lives of a tight-knit group of skaters who called Roselle Skatepark home for more than a decade. Blending the heartwarming camaraderie of “The Sandlot” with the wild antics of “Jackass,” this film revisits the golden days of youth filled with hijinks, fun, and unforgettable memories. Through a blend of old and new footage, “Still Pushing” explores Roselle Skatepark as a cherished third space where lifelong friendships were forged and adventures unfolded, capturing the essence of skate culture and the passage of time.

TURN IT OFF, 7min., USA

A woman races through the woods, hiding from an unseen threat. After injuring her leg, she finds refuge in a house, but we see a girl curled up on her couch, safe at home watching the same film we are. As the woman hides, the girl realizes the events on-screen are linked to her world. Terrified, she turns off the TV but hears a cry from upstairs. Drawn by fear, she approaches her closet…

The Second City – A Documentary, 34min., USA
Directed by Samson Ziegelman
My goal with this documentary is to share the magic of The Second City and the art of improvisation with actor and writer Bob Odenkirk and Second City Vice President Kelly Leonard. We discuss their Second City experiences, the stars they have worked with, how improv shaped their careers, and advice for the younger generation.

$TACK$, 7min., USA
Directed by Gerald Webb
Unprecedented times force two fierce rivals to come face to face, for the first time in over a decade, to close a deal for the most valuable substance on earth. Featuring the Daytime Emmy nominated performance of Mark Christopher Lawrence as Hector, $TACK$ is a sarcastic plea for every viewer to be responsible for the attitudes, assumptions and judgments buried deep inside themselves. It’s timely message taunts, teases and dares the audience to discover the film’s hidden twists and clues before their own biases and assumptions lead them down the wrong path.
